INSPIRATION
RUMCHE 2025年春夏コレクションは、宇宙の神秘に想いを馳せて制作されました。デザイナーの安原璢美は、家族で星空を眺めたことをきっかけに、月の満ち欠けや未知なる銀河の星図の魅力に惹かれ、図鑑を元にリサーチを開始しました。「夜空には、たくさんのロマンチックな奇跡が詰め込まれています。この宇宙の神秘的な現象をファッションとして表現したいと感じました」と安原は話します。
初めに関心を持ったのは、月と太陽の関係性。太陽の光を反射して輝く月が、地球の周りを回るにつれて日々見せる形を変えていることに大きな感動を覚えます。また宝石のように美しく輝く“恒星”、それらが群を作って生まれた“星団”の中には、100億年を超える寿命を持つ星があること。私たち人間たちが星と同じ炭素や酸素、窒素などの素粒子の集まりで出来ていて、“皆が星の子どもたちである”−−という事実にもロマンを感じたのです。さらに約50億年後には、地球が膨張した太陽に飲み込まれて燃え尽きてしまうと予想されていることも安原の心に留まりました。「壮大な宇宙の不思議に目を向けると、生命の尊さに気付かされます。今を生きている奇跡に感謝しながらデザインを進めました」。
加えて、今季の制作中にカナダ・バンクーバーへの短期留学を経験したことも安原の心境やクリエイションに影響を与えています。「新たな環境に身を置いて生活することが、人生で大切なことに向き合う機会になりました。仕事もプライベートの時間も一瞬一瞬を大切に、生きる喜びを意識するようになりました」。宇宙の神秘と生きる喜びにフォーカスを当てた本コレクションには、今を生きる人々の心を豊かにしたいという願いが反映されています。
COLLECTION
今季は従来ルックのデザイン画から制作をスタートする安原が、より抽象的なディテールから作り進めたのが特徴になっています。着想源となった天体や星座はモチーフとして登場。月の形を象った円型パターンは、ラッフルとしてブラウスの前立てにしたり、トップスの裾にアシンメトリーに施したりと、日常着にドラマチックな雰囲気を与えています。胸元にピンタックを施したドレスやブラウスも優美な丸いフォルムが印象的。
今季のオリジナルプリントは全てデザイナー安原の手描きで起こされています。星雲をイメージしたマーブルや星団の輝きを再現したスプラッターペイントは、ドレスやボトムスに採用。星座の模様は、インドの職人によって刺繍で表現され、繊細なシースルーのシャツにのせられたり、コットンツイードのジャケットに煌くビーズを散りばめたりと、強い存在感を放っています。
RUMCHEのシグニチャーであるボンドヤーンは、幾何学モチーフのハーネスや花モチーフのベストになってよりウェアラブルに落とし込まれました。他にも手編みのニットビスチェ、チュールのトップスなど、軽やかにレイヤードを楽しめるラインアップが揃っています。
INSPIRATION
The RUMCHE Spring/Summer 2025 collection was created by exploring the mysteries of the universe. Designer Rumi Yasuhara, after gazing at the starry sky with her family, fascinated by the phases of the moon and star charts of unknown galaxies began research based on illustrated reference books. "The night sky is filled with many romantic miracles. I wanted to express this mysterious phenomenon of the universe through fashion" said Yasuhara.
The first thing that caught her attention was the relationship between the moon and the sun. She was greatly impressed by the reflection of the sun's rays and the changing shape of the moon as it revolves around the earth. There are stars that shine as beautifully as jewels from star clusters spanning over 10 billion years old. She was also struck by the romanticism of the fact that we humans too are made up of the same elements as stars, from carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen, and the realization that "we all are children of the stars."
Furthermore, Yasuhara's short study abroad in Vancouver, Canada, during this season's production greatly influenced her. "Living in a new environment gave me an opportunity to face the important things in my life. I began to cherish every moment, both at work and in my personal life, and became much more conscious of the joy of living." The collection, which focuses on the mysteries of the universe and the art of living, reflects a hope to enrich the hearts of people today.
COLLECTION
A major feature of this season is that Yasuhara, who traditionally starts production by designing drawings for the look, started by creating more abstract details. The celestial bodies and constellations that inspired the collection are featured as motifs. The moon-shaped circular patterns add a dramatic atmosphere to everyday wear, such as a ruffle with a blouse front and asymmetrical attachments to the hem of tops. The dresses and blouses with pin tucks on the chest also have graceful, rounded shapes.
This season's prints are all hand-painted by designer Yasuhara. Marbled patterns reminiscent of nebulae and splatter paint that recreates the glow of star clusters are used on dresses and bottoms. The constellation patterns are embroidered by Indian artisans and have a strong presence, placed on a delicate sheer shirt and scattered glittering beads on a cotton tweed jacket.
RUMCHE's signature bond yarn has been made into more extensive pieces, with a geometric motif harness and a floral vest. The lineup also includes hand-knitted bustiers and tulle tops, allowing you to enjoy light layering.
