Fly As You Are

INSPIRATION

自然の美しさは、デザイナーの安原璢美を魅了し続けています。今季の出発点は森の野鳥たち。色鮮やかな羽根は神秘的で、翼を広げて自由に飛び回る姿は解放感に満ち溢れています。野鳥たちの生体を知れば知るほど心惹かれ、スケッチをすることで心安らぎ、「それはある種のマインドフルネスのようだった」と安原は話します。自然に触れて、童心に帰ったように胸をときめかせることが、日々の原動力につながっていることに気付かされたのです。

フランス・パリもまた安原にインスピレーションを与え続けている場所であります。街の人々のファッションやそこで暮らす女性たちの在り方は、RUMCHEの掲げる“As You Are（ありのままのあなた）”のメッセージに結びついています。長い時を経ても、ずっと愛おしいと感じられる特別な服を作ることは、安原が大切にしてきたこと。同時に、心地よく“自分らしさ”を投影できる服になってほしいとも願っています。

自由で麗しい野鳥たちと、自分らしく意思を持って生きるパリの人々。RUMCHEは普遍的な美しさとエネルギーを注いだコレクションを共有していきます。

COLLECTION

今季は野鳥に着想を得たモチーフが豊富に登場します。鳥の羽根を描いたオリジナルプリントは、滑らかな質感のパネルシャツやドレス、トラウザー、カーディガンに配され、染色技術の高い京都の工場で鮮明に写し出されています。他にも羽根模様を福井の織物工場で織りあげたジャカードのジャンプスーツやジャケットやパンツのセットアップ、羽根を編みで表現したニットウェアなどもラインアップ。また鳥の飛行模様を胸元のステッチで表したシャツドレスや、キツツキが開ける木の穴をイメージしたカットアウトのドットディテールを施したデニムジャケットやスカート、テーラードジャケットなども印象的です。

RUMCHEのシグニチャーであるボンドヤーンは、鳥のモチーフのネックレスや、鳥籠のようなネット風のスカートやトップスなどを展開。フレンチシックを感じさせるボーダーのニットカーディガンの裾に編み模様を装飾したり、シアーブラウスにチェーン風の刺繍を取り入れたりと、ウェアの付属として施しています。定番のダッフルコートはシーズンカラーのアイスブルーが爽やかな印象を与え、初となるショート丈も仲間入り。

今季は鮮やかな色彩やユニークなテクニックを採用しながらも、より日常に根ざしたワードローブに仕上がっています。「幸運を運んでくれる鳥のように、着る人に幸せをもたらす存在になりますように」というデザイナー安原の思いが込められています。

INSPIRATION

The beauty of nature continues to fascinate designer Rumi Yasuhara. The inspiration for this season started with wild birds in the forest. Their brightly colored feathers give a sense of mystique, while the way they fly freely resembles a sense of freedom. Yasuhara feels that the more she learns about wild birds, the more she becomes intrigued by them, even feeling comfort by sketching portraits of them. "It was in a sense a type of mindfulness for me” reflects Yasuhara. It made her realize that being in touch with nature and doing things that make her heart flutter as if she had returned to her childhood are the driving force of everyday life.

Paris is also a place that continues to inspire Yasuhara. The fashion of women there and the way they live their lives resonate with RUMCHE's key message of "As You Are." Creating special clothes that will remain loved even after a long time is something that Yasuhara values. At the same time, she also wants RUMCHE’s collection to be comfortable and allow everyone to project their own personality.


COLLECTION

This season, there are a wide variety of motifs inspired by wild birds. Prints decorated with bird feathers motifs appear on smooth-textured panel shirts, dresses, trousers, and cardigans, and are vividly printed at a factory in Kyoto using advanced dyeing techniques. The lineup also includes jacquard jumpsuits with feather patterns woven at a textile factory in Fukui, set-ups of jackets and pants, and knitwear with knitted feathers. A shirt dress with bird flight pattern stitched on the chest, denim jackets, skirts, and tailored jackets with cut-out dot details reminiscent of wooden holes made by woodpeckers are also unique.

RUMCHE's signature bond yarn is available in necklaces with bird motifs, and net-like skirts and tops that resemble bird cages. Bond yarn also comes in French chic striped knit cardigans with knitted patterns and chain embroidery in sheer blouses. The classic duffel coat has a refreshing seasonal color, ice blue, and is now available in a short length for the first time.

While using bright colors and unique techniques, this season's RUMCHE aims to be more rooted in everyday life. “Just like birds bring us good luck, so I hope that this collection will bring happiness to the people who wears it” said Yasuhara.
